For the past 14 months, the demand for IT professionals showed an unpredictable increase in the industry. It nearly doubled from the previous years’ demands (pre-COVID 19 times). This is due to the expediting digitization and automation of businesses. The technology is improved nowadays and it marked a clear positive impact on the businesses in IT world. And so the demand seems to increase from the pre-COVID-19 times drastically without notice.

So many organizations transform their businesses into the digital world and it may continue after the pandemic too. The digital world creates a huge impact for businesses that cannot be predictable once. There is a sudden surge in the digital skills demand and so the hiring for freshers and others compared to 2019 has been increased. This mainly included blockchain, Artificial intelligence, data science, information security, and cloud computing. So even though COVID 19 created a bad impact in the world, it created a rise in 2021 techies life positively.

According to ISF’s (Indian Staffing Federation) report, the freshers’ demand increased from 6% in 2020 to 15% in 2021. Among that the techies industry is the top with 24% hiring. Likewise in the telecom and e-commerce sector, they hired 21% with 19% freshers among them respectively.

One of the biggest challenges in the IT industry is to find the right talent sourcing and retention with skilled resources. As due to this reasons, the temporary staffing has been increased, even among these freshers category too. Freshers are hired from various universities and given the proper training on various digital skills before assigning them the projects. This makes them the time for self-satisfaction to do the work and increases the confidence level among themselves to a higher extend.

“In total, the IT industry is preparing to match the wanted needs and talents by upgrading the HR methods, by adding more number of training units and temp hires,” said Dutta. “There was a touchable shift in immediate hires in temp roles in enterprises as the under pressured supply sides.”
