Happy Diwali 2021
Diwali, the festival of lights, is one of the biggest festivals celebrated in India. A row of lamps is lighted in every house as a resemblance of this festival on this day. Universal peace and brotherhood are conveyed on this important day of the joyous occasion. Traditionally speaking, ‘Diwali’ is also known as ‘Deepawali’ in India. Normally this is celebrated on the Amavasya Tithi of Karthik month.
The current year, Diwali is celebrated on 4th November 2021. On this day the devotees worship Goddess Lakshmi to lead a blissful and wealthy life throughout. Another interesting thing is that Lord Rama returned to Ayodhya after fourteen long years on this day.
In most of the places, this festival longs to nearly five days. On the second day among these five days, it is Naraka Chaturdashi which is also known as Choti Diwali.
People welcome the Diwali festival by cleaning the surroundings and houses, buying jewelry, new clothes, decorating with diyas and flowers, crackers, rangolis, and so on. People also visit their relatives, friends’ houses and gift them, sweets. Sweets symbolize the happiness of Diwali.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the day of this Diwali celebrates with Army troops in the Rajouri district, Jammu, and Kashmir. On this day a huge number of diyas will be lit on the banks of the Sarayu River. And in Delhi, a tall feet structure in resemblance to Ram Mandir situated in Ayodhya will be made and come to Thyagaraj Stadium.
Meanwhile, the protection of every individual is the foremost thing during these COVID-19 pandemic times. So, all are requested to maintain proper social distancing and wear masks during the festival celebrations. In some states there ordered strict rules in throwing crackers at particular timings on the day of Diwali, say, 4th November 2021.
