HDFC Bank Planning to Hire 2,500 Employees from Rural Areas in 2 Years
HDFC bank is ready to add up to nearly 2,500 people into their team. They aim to double their rural reach in India to almost 2 lakh villages in about 1.5 or 2 years. Their ultimate output is not only to set up branches and offices in a wide range of places but also to take business correspondents. Along with this concept, there will be partners for service centres and businesses additionally.
This facility can also work on virtual team management and digital platforms widely available nowadays. So HDFC Bank is hoping to get extended to two-thirds of many rural reach-out areas in India. Currently, the HDFC Bank is serving MSMEs (micro, small and medium enterprises) in about 1 lakh Indian villages and districts overall in India.
The HDFC Bank has already started to customize their offers like providing crop loans for the farmers’ needs for pre-harvest and post-harvest measures. But now it will be focused more on expanding these offers. Currently, they are offering loans to rural people helping to buy vehicles on their own. This is a great effort and initiative taken by the whole team in the current scenario as well.
The loan-providing schemes also include two-wheelers and other categorized vehicles. Along with this they also provide loans for gold jewellery, curated loans for the areas where banks do not even exist. From now the HDFC Bank will shape its offers based on the changing needs and demands of the rural people.
For the banking sector, the semi-urban areas of India normally offer long-term and growth opportunities sustainably. When it comes to the extending credit category these places remain underserved. So, the HDFC Bank planned to fill the gaps most effectively and efficiently- by implementing offers and services available in every place.
