                                                                                                                Scope:

The
Candidate should have prior background working IT Infrastructure and should
have a solid high-level understanding of the underlying IT principles (Systems,
Network, Software, IaC and Virtualization). Key activities will include Linux
system installation, OS patch management, system integration, application
administration, systems and Storage architecture and design, and system
maintenance. The server hardware is a mixture of IBM, Oracle servers running Solaris
(10&11), Redhat Linux running on Dell, NetApp and Nutanix

What
you’ll do:


Primarily
responsible for managing Linux infrastructure Installing, configuring, and
maintaining Linux Servers. Troubleshooting experience in P6, P7, P8, P9
systems, PAR, VPAR, DLPAR, VIO
Responsible for OS
Patching, OS upgrade, hardware drivers and firmware upgrades.
Logical Volume
manager (LVM) management
Configuring and
Troubleshooting NIS, NFS and autofs.
Installation,
configuration and troubleshooting 3rd party applications.
System atomization
experience regarding deployment and configuration management.
Managing server backups,
deletion and restoration of data.
Experienced with
Infrastructure deployment automation tools like Ansible
Act as a single
point of escalation to L2 and L1 engineers.
Abiding by
Incident, Change and Problem Management procedures, including complying
with the Service Level Agreements.
Design and implement Netapp storage systems, including
installation, configuration,

software upgrades, and storage
provisioning.


 

 

 

 

 

 

What
we are looking for:

 

·       
5+ years of Experience in Linux
(Redhat and CentOS) and Storage Administrator


Good
knowledge/working knowledge on containers technologies using dockers on
Kubernetes
Should have working knowledge of
container orchestration using Kubernetes
Experience with
industry standard storage and backup systems such as Isilon, NetApp and Nutanix
Performance tuning,
troubleshooting, and hardening Linux
Experience with SAN
and Storage technologies – setup Storage on VIO and AIX LPARS, multipathing.


·       
Deep, hands on experience
with a multitude of storage arrays (SAN & NAS), SAN switches, backup
targets, and servers.

·       

Experience in project management,
systems integration, and cloud computing (specifically S3-compatible)

·       
  Expertise in creating, analyzing,
and repairing large-scale distributed systems

·       

Creating volumes, assigning to
servers and remote replication

·       

Working knowledge of multipathing
software (Linux/Solaris DMP, Windows multipathing)


Ability to
successfully mount provisioned storage into OS on Windows, Solaris, Linux
Extensive
experience and in-depth knowledge of ONTAP 7-mode and C- Mode

• iSCSI/NFS/CIFS/SAN technologies
Fiber Channel and iSCSI connections
from Unix and Windows hosts.
