Quality Control Supervisor Reporting To: QA/QC ManagerDepartment: QA/QC DepartmentKey Area, Responsibility & Main Task•Handle a team of QC engineers to carry out inspection in all areas of production like cutting, tempering, coating etc. and ensure good product quality.•Instruct/train the operators and ensure that the work instructions are strictly adhered to.•Ensure that all measuring and monitoring devices are calibrated. If not, arrange for calibration in consultation with the QA/QC Manager.•Ensure that all workmen/operators are aware of the quality requirements in their respective field.•Assist the Management Representative in preparing Audit Schedule and conduct internal audits for ISO9001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO45001.•Compile quarterly report for the departmental objectives and ensure that all the data are being submitted to the QA/QC Manager on a quarterly basis.•Train customers on handling and processing coated glass products. Conduct customer audits for certification of all EGL’s coated glass processors. •Field visits to attend to customer claims. •Visits to supplier’s facilities for inspection of outsourced processes and new vendor assessment. •Organize training sessions for workmen to educate them on product quality matters related to their scope of work. Requirements: Essential :Qualifications:Bachelor of Engineering (Any stream) / Diploma in Engineering / Bachelor of Science Desired :Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Production/ Industrial)Experience:At least 5 years’ overall experience in QA/QC in a manufacturing environment out of which minimum 2 years should have been in a managerial/supervisory role. Desired : 8 to 10 years’ experience in glass processing out of which around 4 years should have been in a managerial/supervisory role. Technical Abilities:Ability to read technical drawings/isometric drawings I.T. literate and well versed in Microsoft Office.Hands-on working experience in ISO 9001 related processes.Quality Assurance experience in a manufacturing environment. 
Desired:All of the Essentials and: Experienced in managing ISO9001, ISO14001 and OHSAS180001 audits and process compliance. Experience in glass processing including but not limited to MSVD coated glass processing, tempering, lamination and ceramic printing. Experience in implementing statistical process control and quality tools.Linguistic Abilities:English Desired: English, Hindi/Urdu and ArabicPersonal Competencies: Presentable, Good communication skills (both written and oral), strong work ethics, ability to work under pressure, enthusiastic and eager to learn.Managerial Competencies:Good leadership qualities, clear in decision making, analytical thinking, and effective communication skills.
