Quality Inspector / Material Inspector

1. General

1.1. The CVs of prospective CONTRACTOR personnel should be submitted for COMPANY's
review and evaluation. The selection of the personnel will be done by the COMPANY after
conducting a personal interview.
 1.2. The CONTRACTOR shall implement appropriate recruitment and selection processes
including pre-employment due diligence and background checks in respect of all persons
to be involved in the provision of the Services, whether employed on a full time, part time
or casual basis.
 1.3. The CONTRACTOR shall supply the COMPANY with a written description of its system
with respect to the recruitment and selection of the CONTRACTOR's Personnel and shall
promptly notify the COMPANY in writing of any amendments effected to that system
during the Contract Period. The CONTRACTOR shall ensure and provide Key Personnel
that meet the general & minimum requirements.
1.4. The COMPANY reserves the right to review and to accept potential candidates that meet
these requirements or to reject candidates that do not meet these requirements. The
CONTRACTOR shall not withdraw any approved manpower by the COMPANY without
prior permission of COMPANY.
 1.5. Throughout the Contract period CONTRACTOR is expected to exercise all the effort to
maintain only the personnel approved by the COMPANY at the start of Contract. This is
in view of the fact the familiarity and expertise gained through initial working can be
carried forward for efficient working and to avoid rearranging mandatory plant /field
safety trainings, which are difficult to organize. Under unavoidable circumstances only, if
CONTRACTOR requires changing the approved personnel, with proper justification and
the CV of newly proposed personnel shall be submitted for COMPANY review and
approval.
 1.6. At any time if the performance of the personnel working for this contract is found to be
not satisfactory (Technical and/or Behavioral), the COMPANY reserves the right to ask for
another approved replacement.
 1.7. The minimum number of CONTRACTOR key personnel is listed under the clause under
1.2 of this Scope of work.

 2. Minimum requirements – Knowledge, Skills and Experience

2.1. Materials Inspector
 a) Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Metallurgy) with min. 10 years of
experience, of which the candidate should have worked for a min 5 years in Oil and
Gas Industry.

b) Additional qualification in Welding & Material fields is desirable

c) Professional certifications from reputed agencies on NDT, Welding, Painting and
vessel/piping inspection or other relevant subjects will be advantageous.

d) Fully conversant with International Codes, Standards and Specifications and reputed
Oil & Gas sector COMPANY practices/project specifications is required. 
e) It is expected that this person shall be a good communicator, with excellent written
and verbal English language skills

f) Working knowledge on Lifting EQUIPMENT & Gas Cylinder certifications will be
beneficial.

g) Knowledge in operating Positive Material Identification (PMI) and Hardness Testing
Instruments.

h) Highly proficient in MS Office, and (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project)

i) Proficiency with SAP MM and WM module is an advantage.
