Job Description

They are responsible for installing lifting and suspension equipment, such as wire and fiber ropes, winches, pulley blocks, chains and slings as well as building and dismantling access and support scaffolding, and positioning and removing specialized ladder equipment in order to access the rig.

Complete all quality control for rigs submitted for review for artistic problems (ie


 
Supervise rigging operations


 
Collaborate with the Production Manager to create and manage emergency rescue plans


 
Provide advice, recommendations and information on safety issues with regard to climbing equipment and working at height


 
Supervise all aspects relating to artistic and structural rigging during load-in, performances, and load-out


 
Ensure the rigging team and technical personnel respect standards and regulations regarding the safety of rigging equipment, and apply safe work methods


 
Supervise personnel during the load-in and load-out of rigging equipment


 
Manage Human Resources responsibilities for the specifically assigned areas

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• minimum level 1 nccco certification.
• familiarity with osha safety standards.
• in-depth knowledge of rigging equipment and heavy machinery.
• excellent hearing and vision.
