Job Description
AC technician provides predictive maintenance programs for the adjustment of assigned plant air conditioning and refrigeration manufacturing equipment and systems and assist in those adjustments.
Repair and maintain washers, dryers, and small appliancesPlans, monitors, installs and adjusts the full range of heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment by means of an energy management system hands-on workTroubleshoots, maintains, modifies and repairs heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems and equipment including, reciprocating chillers, 225ton and 190 ton rotary screw chillers, heat exchangers, fans and fan motors, pumps and pump motors, electric and pneumatic controls, and associated safety, over current and other equipment protection devices ensuring that they operate at peak efficiency and conserve energy usagePerforms installation of mechanical systems to include piping and modifications to existing facility’s cooling systemsUtilizes and updates blueprints, technical manuals, manufacturer’s files and other record keepingMonitors work done by outside contractors for adherence to state and federal code requirements and report back to supervisorPerform any and all duties which may be assignedPerform corrective and preventive maintenance on packaged units, split coil systems, air compressors, pumps, air handlers, air cooled condensers, reciprocating chillers, 250 ton centrifugal and 190 ton rotary screw chillers, and various heat exchangersMust perform duties and responsibilities of a Journeyman level mechanic with strong a background in HVAC and refrigeration equipment to include hands on experience in operating and troubleshooting industrial systemsInstallation of mechanical systems to include piping and modifications to existing facilities cooling systems
