Job Description

he Assistant Designer is responsible for assisting the Designer with all aspects of the design process. Assistant Designer should offer creative vision (trend research, design ideas, etc.), have proficient knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop, knowledge of Web PDM/ PLM, and be able to maintain organization of all materials needed for meetings and fittings. 

Responsibilities:

Research for new ideas and inspirational concepts

Sketch CADs and build design boards

Update CADs & BOM’s after meetings and produce recaps

Actively participate in fittings, take notes and input to database system

Create detailed tech-packs and communicate artwork needs to CAD team

Update and keep organized various binders for fabrics/CADs/fit notes/trims/artwork

Review and comment on Lab Dips, Fabric, Art, and Trim submits

Regularly correspond with Production/Merchandising/Trim/Fabric R&D/Technical Design teams

Attend all meetings and keep detailed notes
