Job Description
We are currently looking for a candidate to join our team in Sharjah & Dubai as a keeper in our Catering Division.
Storekeeper Duties and Responsibilities:
• Inventory Management: Storekeepers are responsible for maintaining accurate records of inventory levels. They monitor stock levels, order new supplies or products as needed, and keep track of inventory turnover rates.
• Receiving and Inspection: They receive incoming shipments, verify the accuracy of the products received, and check for any damage or discrepancies. They also handle the unpacking, sorting, and shelving of goods.
• Stock Organization: Storekeepers organize products in a systematic manner, making it easy for staff or customers to find what they need. This may involve labeling, categorizing, and arranging items on shelves or in storage areas.
• Quality Control: They ensure that all products meet quality standards and that any defective items are properly documented and returned to the supplier. This involves conducting regular quality checks and inspections.
• Documentation: Storekeepers maintain detailed records of inventory transactions, including receipts, shipments, returns, and adjustments. Accurate documentation helps in tracking stock levels and managing reordering.
• Security: They are responsible for the security of the store or warehouse, which includes implementing security measures to prevent theft or unauthorized access.
• Customer Service: In retail settings, storekeepers may assist customers by answering questions, locating products, and providing information about prices and promotions.
• Safety: Storekeepers are often responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work environment. This includes ensuring that safety protocols are followed and that hazardous materials are stored and handled appropriately.
• They may generate reports on inventory levels, sales trends, and other relevant data to assist in decision-making by management.
• Storekeepers may be involved in budgeting and cost control efforts, as they play a crucial role in managing the expenses associated with inventory.
