Reading blueprints, drawings and sketches to fully grasp requirementsTaking measurements and calculating the size and amount of material neededCutting, shaping and smoothing lumber and other material (e.g. fiberglass) according to measurementsRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials
- excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
- proven experience as carpenter
- proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tool
